Anushka is an actor and producer in Bollywood. She is acclaimed for her acting as well as being among the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood. Karnesh Sharma is Anushka's younger brother. He served in Merchant Navy, and is currently a film producer. Anushka is a graduate at Army School Bangalore. Style consultant Prasad Bidapa groomed Anushka. Anushka was first seen as a model for 2017 for Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show at Lakme Fashion Week. He picked her as his final model for the collection for Spring/Summer 2007. After her modeling debut at Lakme Fashion Week Anushka did numerous campaigns for various brands, her campaigns for the brands' Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio etc. Anushka began auditioning for films and enrolled in an acting school along with her professional career as model. Anushka was first seen in an acting role in a film by Shah Rukh Khan opposite Anushka. In her screen test she refused to perform the test in a hurry and instead spent a day to prepare herself. Later on she was a part of three films for Yash Raj Films. She played the young wife of a man who was older in the movie (the exact same character that Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka played Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the film Badmash Company. The movie received mixed reviews. Anushka was in a movie called Band Baaja Baaraat with Ranveer who played a Punjabi-American girl of middle-class who starts her own wedding-planning company. It was a surprise hit and was praised by the critics. Anushka's contract for three films with Yash Raj Films was completed with Band Baaja Baaraat.
